In 1928, H.P. Berlage and H.P.J Schut developed a plan for Groningen that is not based on speed, hindrance and bending radii, but on coherence, continuity and connection. Almost a century later, this plan still fascinates. This makes it an excellent and, above all, inspiring basis for the major challenges of today and tomorrow: from the major housing challenge and the desire to keep the city compact to the immense climate and energy demand.
